Alois Lageder is a leading biodynamic producer Durante Italy who has for many years experimented with viticulture Sopra juxtaposition to climate change. Beginning with the 2018 vintage, the winery engaged Con longer skin contact during the vinification of this wine because it had proven to slightly lower the alcohol levels.

The wine produced from Schiava is mostly red, though some dark colored rosé wines are also made. Carefully looked after Schiava will yield a delicate wine with seductive aromas of red berries, cotton candy, roses, dry blossom and almonds. By means of its prezioso acid-fruit balance Sottomessa the Schiava manages to be surprisingly complex and profound.

Con fact, it is believed that it has grown Per mezzo di this terreno since the Middle Ages! Schiava produces lighter bodied red wines that are oftentimes quite good slightly chilled.

Plus coming Con at just 12.5% abv it never slows you down and when served with a slight chill goes perfectly with pizzas, pastas, and the deck outside our hotel room with the stunning mountain view. This is a classic, my favorite wine from this historic producer, and I’m super excited to share this produce from my new favorite place in Italy!

Low yields, some vines of more than a hundred years and rigorously selected grapes guarantee the production of a wine with a convincing quality potential. This Schiava is typified by appealing colour, and is pleasant Con smell and aroma.

There is a wine that tastes like cotton candy and, surprisingly, it’s not made with cotton candy grapes. It’s made with a special wine grape that we’ve never heard of…

An adaptable accompaniment to all dishes, but especially appropriate to be served with traditional South Tyrolean specialities.

Schiava is a light-bodied red wine (like Pinot Noir) with aromas of cotton candy, strawberry, bubblegum, and lemonhead candy. The wine is delicate and light in color. On the palate, the flavors are quite subtle and producers su Adige will often make a dry style as to not overwhelm the palate with sweetness, which is already provided by the aromas.
